Funeral services will be held for Dalbis M. Guillory, 84, of Ville Platte, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 11 a.m., Monday, February 8. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum.
A loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Mr. Guillory died Friday, February 5, 2010, at Ville Platte Medical Center.
Survivors include one son, Todd Luke Guillory of Ville Platte; one daughter, Evelyn Fontenot and her husband, Buford, of Ville Platte; five grandchildren, Luke Fontenot and his wife, Liz, Nicole Coreil and her husband, Chris, Daniel Fontenot and his wife, Penelope, Megan Guillory and Alex Guillory; five great-grandchildren, Blair, Zachary, Brandon, Jacob and Rebecca; and six brothers and sisters, AJ Guillory, Renee Guillory Jr., Efton Guillory, Effie Ardoin, Emily Charlie and LouAnna Guillory.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louella McDaniel Guillory; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Renee Guillory; and his siblings, AnnaBell Deshotel, Thelma Deshotel, Vine Fontenot and Beulah Ortego.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed today, February 7, from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. and again Monday, February 8, from 8 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. this afternoon.
Father Clinton Sensat will officiate.
