First Lady announces new student artwork to be featured at governor's mansion

BATON ROUGE – As a part of the Jindal family’s initiative to feature young artists, Louisiana’s First Lady Supriya Jindal announced today the artwork that was selected for display in the Louisiana’s Governor’s Mansion for the month of February.

First Lady Supriya Jindal said, “The artistic talents of Louisiana's children amaze me more and more each month. We are always so excited to view the new artwork when it arrives, and we are proud to display each piece here at the Mansion to showcase the children's great work for all who visit.”

This month, the First Lady asked principals from schools across Louisiana to submit works for display in the Louisiana Governor’s Mansion. In 2008, the Jindal family dedicated this wall of the mansion to children’s artwork. Every month a new group of art is displayed to pay tribute to Louisiana’s young artists.
