Jean Coco, former Grand Coteau mayor

Services will be Monday for former Grand Coteau Mayor Jean Coco. She died Jan. 25 at age 61.
She was elected mayor in 1998 and served two terms.
Coco was an alderwoman for six years before being elected mayor.
She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and patient bill auditor at Lafayette General Medical Center for 36 years.
Survivors include a son and two daughters.
Melancon of Grand Coteau is in charge of arrangements.
