Mr. Thomas, Miss Rose set February ceremony

The engagement of Miss Darby Rose to Mr. Jonathan James Thomas Sr., the son of Dorothy W. Thomas of Ville Platte and the late Elton Thomas Sr., has been announced by her parents, Leroy Rose and Raynella Rose of Ville Platte.
The couple will exchange wedding vows, Saturday, February 20, 2010, during a 3 p.m. ceremony at St. John Baptist Church in Ville Platte.
Miss Rose, whose mother is the former Raynella Lavigne of Ville Platte, is the granddaughter of the late Houston Rose and Almaise Rose and the late Orise Lavigne and Girley Lavigne.
A 2000 graduate of Ville Platte High School, she received a degree in medical assistance from Remington College in 2003. She is currently employed with Home Health Care 2000 and will be attending LSUA in the fall to pursue a degree in nursing.
Mr. Thomas’ mother is the former Dorothy Wilson of Ville Platte. He is the grandson of Leola Thomas, Morris Thomas, the late Edola Wilson and Manuel Wilson.
He is a 1999 graduate of Ville Platte High School.
