JAMES BRADLEY HEBERT
February 2, 1964 - September 18, 2008
MAMOU - Funeral services were held for James Bradley Hebert, 44, of Ville Platte, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 1 p.m., Saturday, September 20. Burial followed in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery.
A loving husband, father, son, and brother, Mr. Hebert died Thursday, September 18, 2008, at Ville Platte Medical Center. He was Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council #2675 of Mamou and a devoted New Orleans Saints fan.
Survivors include his wife, Terri Hebert of Ville Platte; his parents, Jerry and Joyce Hebert of Ville Platte; two sons, Ryan Hebert and Dylan Hebert, both of Ville Platte; one daughter, Ashley Hebert of Ville Platte; two brothers, Tim Hebert and his wife, Joyce, of Lake Charles and Curt Hebert and his wife, Beverly, of Eunice; and his godparents, Rod and Marie Granger.
Father Bryce Sibley officiated.

SARAH MILDRED ‘MILLIE’ PLAUCHE
April 18, 1926 - September 18, 2008
MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Sarah Mildred “Millie” Plauche, 82, of Pine Prairie, at First Baptist Church in Mamou at 1 p.m., Friday, September 19. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
A native of Alabama, Mrs. Plauche died at 1 p.m., Thursday, September 18, 2008, at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. She graduated from USL and the Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans. She held a masters degree in education and was an upper elementary teacher at the Evangeline Academy of Mamou. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. All who knew and loved her will miss her dearly.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. Melvin P. Plauche of Mamou; one daughter, Millie Lee Alvarez and her husband, Jose, of Baton Rouge; two granddaughters, Crystal Lee Robertson and Heather Robertson; and seven great-grandchildren, Alejandro, Selina, Gabriel, Brandon, Miguel, Natalie and Shaylin.
Brother Ervin Goodman officiated.
