Aaron Ryan Browning
January 14, 1988 - October 3, 2008
Funeral services will be held for Aaron Ryan Browning, 20, of Ville Platte, in the LaVille Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m., Monday, October 6. Burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Browning died Friday, October 3, 2008, at 8:45 p.m. in Allen Parish.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, Keith and Cherylin Browning of Ville Platte; his mother, Jennifer Lynn Browning of Leesville; two brothers; John Wesley Browning of Houston and Brian Keith Browning of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; a step-brother, Jonathan Francois of Ville Platte; and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Browning of Ville Platte.
Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, and 8 a.m. to service time Monday. Rev. Brian Dore will conduct services.

EDDIE PELLERIN
January 31, 1929 - October 2, 2008
PLAISANCE - Funeral services were held for Eddie Pellerin, 79, of Ville Platte, at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 2 p.m., Friday, October 3. Burial followed in the St. Andrew Cemetery in Plaisance.
Mr. Pellerin died Thursday, October 2, 2008, at Opelousas General Hospital.
Survivors include one son, Terrin Pellerin and his fiance’, Barbara Reeser, of Destrehan; one daughter, Delores Cole and her husband, Clyde, of Ville Platte; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

ROBERT ‘TROY’ RICHARD
LAFAYETTE - Funeral services were held for Robert “Troy” Richard, 43, of Lafayette, at Holy Family Catholic Chapel in Lafayette at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 4. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Richard died Tuesday, September 23, 2008, after a courageous and lengthy battle with many physical challenges and illness.
Richard graduated from Chataignier High School and later attended LSUE. He was an exceptional and outstanding athlete, as well as a master leather artisan. In 1981-82, he was chosen as a member of The Outstanding High School Athletes in America for basketball, track and baseball. He was a track champion, a member of the Softball League, Mamou Cardinals Baseball team, Minor League Little League and the All-Star Baseball Team for many seasons. He was also a member of the Future Farmers of America, Forestry Judging Team and the 4-H Club.
Richard was strong-willed and determined and faced many challenges throughout his life. He loved his wife dearly, and she cared for him with much love and respect throughout his illness. Troy was very precious to Trudy, and she will miss him deeply as she awaits the day when they will be reunited in the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Survivors include his dedicated and adoring wife, local artist Trudy Katherine Hall Richard; his parents, Robert Richard and Betty Lavergne; two step-sons, Ronald “Joby” Boyer and his wife, Patience, and Gary Staton; two grandchildren, Kayden Boyer and Sage Boyer; two brothers, Todd Richard and Shane Richard; two sisters, Michelle Richard and beloved sister, Krystal Richard; and many nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jared Richard.

Funeral services were held for Dan Griffith, 66, of Ville Platte, at St. John Baptist Church in Ville Platte at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 4. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
