Mamou arrests eight

MAMOU - The Mamou Police Department reported eight recent arrests.

The following persons were charged:

•Anthony Norris, 34, 94 Martin Luther King, Mamou, was charged October 3, with simple battery. Norris was released on a bond.

•Marvin Lee Freeman, 22, 246 Percy Drive, Opelousas, was charged October 3, with obstruction of a public passage. Freeman was released on a bond.

•Brannal Wilks, 53, 420 East St., Apt. 3, Mamou, was charged October 5, with criminal mischief. Wilks was released on a bond.

•Grant Lamaire, 33, 819 Fox Run, Lafayette, was charged October 6, with driving under suspension. Lamaire was released on a bond.

•Steven Lejeune, 21, 1121 Green Oak Loop, Eunice, was charged October 6, with aggravated flight from an officer, reckless operation (three counts) and disobeying a stop sign (three counts). Lejeune was transported to the Evangeline Parish Jail.

•Jermaine Williams, 33, 249 Church St., Ville Platte, was charged October 6, with disturbing the peace by loud music and aggravated flight from an officer. Williams was transported to the Evangeline Parish Jail.

•Richard Scott Bergeron, 27, Mamou, was charged October 6, with disturbing the peace by fighting. Bergeron was released on a bond.

•Ronald Hebert, 42, 310 South St., Mamou, was charged October 6, with domestic abuse battery and resisting an officer. Hebert was transported to the Evangeline Parish Jail.
