Funeral services were held for Beverly Fontenot, 74, of Ville Platte, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 11 a.m., Friday, March 1. Burial followed in the Evangeline Memorial Park.
Ms. Fontenot died Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Lafayette Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include one son, Chauncey Fontenot of Ville Platte; two daughters, Jenny Boney and her husband, Michael, of Lafayette and Samantha “Sam” Fontenot of Ville Platte; one sister, Tessie Gil of Eunice; three grandchildren, Heather Boney, Mikey Boney and Kayla Fontenot; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Joseph Fontenot; her parents, Eloi and Lena McCauley Soileau; four brothers, Jenston, Huey, Allen Ray and John Terry Soileau; and one sister, Nettie Fontenot.
Father Joshua Guillory officiated.
