Team standings are still unavailable, as some Week Two rainout games are still waiting to be made up, but it is safe to say that Team Bonnie stands strong after a 16-0 victory over Team Amber in Week Seven of Eunice Ladies Tennis League play.
On Court One, team captain Bonnie Butler and Sheila Rheams won a 6-2, 7-6 victory over Ann Roberts and Brenda Fontenot of Team Amber.
Team Bonnie’s Felicia Allen and Ann Latiolais cruised to a 6-1, 6-3 win against Team Amber’s Cathy McDaniel and Laricia Poullard on Court Two.
On Court Three, Melissa Reynolds and Margaret Young scored a win for Team Bonnie with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over team captain Amber Rougeau and Myra Miller.
A forfeit by Team Amber gave Team Bonnie the win on Court Four.
In the other court action of the week, Team Ching scored a 10-8 win against Team Germaine.
On Court One, Cynthia Tanner and Ellen Myers of Team Germaine won a 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 split set against Lita LeJeune and Debbie Miller of Team Ching.
Scoring a win for Team Ching, Janet Prudhomme and Shirley Miller defeated team captain Germaine Courville and Yvonne Vasseur 6-3, 6-3 on Court Two.
On Court Three, Team Germaine’s Martha Guempel and Christine Soileau won a 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 split set victory over Haidee DeRouen and Leslie Lee of Team Ching.
Team captain Ching Wasmuth and Connie Tupper defeated Team Germaine’s Chanda LaFleur and Cindy Turk 6-3, 6-1 on Court Four.
