Maxine Gautreau of Pine Prairie is now serving as Ward Four Justice of the Peace in that community. Gautreau was recently recommended by the police jury to fill the unexpired term of Mandy Dardeau. The appointment was approved by the Louisiana Supreme Court. Qualifying for this seat will be held July 7, to July 9. Gautreau can be reached at 599-2593.
