The Mamou Volunteer Fire Department recently received a $1,000 grant from the Anadarka Petroleum Production Company.<!--break--> Volunteer fireman and Anadarka employee Briano Landreneau applied for the grant to assist the department. This grant is given out annually to organizations that assist their communities on a volunteer basis. The fire department has to meet several requirements to receive the grant. These funds will be used to purchase needed equipment for the department.
