PPHS’s Perrodins named 2018 Tournoi Pageant Queens

New royalty was crowned Saturday at the Louisiana Tournoi Pageant. The newly crowned queens were Miss Tournoi Queen Taylor Grace Perrodin and Teen Tournoi Queen Riana Perrodin.

September 14, 1978- Jules Ashlock, Ville Platte attorney and former newspaper publisher, dropped this world record lion while on a hunting trip in Rhodesia in July. This is the largest lion ever killed in the world, measuring nine feet, eight and a half inches and weighing 530 pounds. It was killed with a 270 caliber rifle.
