From Vietnam to the Lamb

As Americans we are called to give of ourselves and to help our fellow countrymen when they are in need. One Ville Platte native has exemplified this idea from serving in the jungles of Vietnam to serving the Lamb of God as a naval chaplain.

A break down of the October election ballot

Parish residents will take to the polls on October 14, 2017 to vote for or against three proposed state constitutional amendments.
Amendment No. 1 on a voter’s ballot will be an amendment that would provide an exemption of property taxes for construction sites.

Turkey Creek prepares for new park lights

The Turkey Creek Council held its monthly meeting on Tuesday and centered most of its discussion around installing more lights at the Village’s community park.
