Not rain nor snow nor ice nor freezing temperatures nor pandemic could halt costumed riders from carrying on a rich tradition of Evangeline Parish. Even without the usual pomp and circumstance, the annual Courir de Mardi Gras took place Tuesday around the Mamou area. In the top photo, the merry group of riders led by Le Capitain proceed down the route on their way to beg and chase after chickens.
