MAMOU, LA – On Sunday, August 18, 2019 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office was called to the 1000 block of Shorty Lane in Mamou, LA.
The notion of bringing Evangeline Parish to a united front took center stage at Tuesday’s Evangeline Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet and Awards Ceremony.

After spending the last two years in Class 2A, the Ville Platte High Bulldogs must now face a step up in classification as they move to the 3A ranks.
Tucked away a couple of miles from the edge of Cocodrie Lake in northern Evangeline Parish is a community that time seemed to have forgotten.
