New direction

MAMOU -- The last five years have not been kind to the Mamou Demon football team. During that span, the Demons are 3-47 and have not sniffed the playoffs.

Ville Platte High junior running back Jamal Byers (9) is back for another season with the Bulldogs. Byers and the rest of the team hope to gain momentum from last season and reach the playoffs again this year. Ville Platte opens the season against Sacred Heart in the T-Cotton Bowl. Vermilion colored glasses

Much like at other places around the state, the Ragin’ Cajuns of UL-Lafayette are engulfed in a quarterback battle.
